Germaben II is a liquid broad spectrum preservative system. The active ingredients have been solubilized in propylene glycol. This allows them to be added to formulations with incredible ease. Germaben II is ready-to-use in any emulsion with an oil phase of about 25% or less and water soluble formulations. This makes it great for lotions, scrubs, shampoos, washes, soaps and more. Our wholesale Germaben II is heat sensitive which means it should be added to the water phase or to the emulsified portion of the formulation at a temperature of no greater than 138°F or below. Adding Germaben II above 138°F could result in a compromised preservative system in your product. This preservative is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. Recommended use levels: 0.3 - 1%.
